A new evacuation drill was held yesterday at the Student Recreation Centre of the Universitat Politècnica de València, a key activity to ensure the safety of the entire university community. These drills make it possible to assess the effectiveness of emergency protocols, improve coordination between staff and students, and foster a culture of risk prevention.
The importance of conducting periodic drills lies in the need to be prepared for any eventuality. As highlighted in the fire drill conducted in April 2022, these exercises not only test the alarm and evacuation systems, but also raise collective awareness of how to act quickly and responsibly.
We will soon share more details on how yesterday’s drill went, the evacuation times recorded and the improvements observed compared to previous exercises.
