This website uses no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies. It only uses technical cookies that are essential for it to work, so it shows no cookie banner and does not need your consent to set them (Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce). Content from other sites, which may set its own, loads only if you press its button (see below).
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device so that information can be remembered between visits, such as the language you chose or a logged-in session.
Cookies used by this site
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
qtrans_front_language | Remembers the language in which you browse the site (Spanish, Valencian or English). | Technical, first-party | 1 year |
wordpress_test_cookie | Checks that the browser accepts cookies. Only created when the login page of the content management system is opened. | Technical, first-party | Session |
llar_login_flow | Tracks the login process so that failed attempts can be limited (Limit Login Attempts Reloaded). Login page only. | Technical, first-party | 1 day |
wordpress_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_logged_in_* | Keep the session of the people who edit the site. Only created when logging in to the content management system. | Technical, first-party | 2 days, or 14 days if “Remember me” is ticked |
wp-settings-*, wp-settings-time-* | Store the content editor’s preferences. Editors only. | Technical, first-party | 1 year |
qtrans_admin_language | Remembers the language in which an editor is editing content. Editors only. | Technical, first-party | 1 year |
If you browse the site without logging in, the only cookie set is the language cookie. If you delete it, the site keeps working and takes the language from the address you visit.
If you change an option of the “Accessibility” button (contrast, text size, spacing or animations), the site stores it in your browser’s local storage (localStorage, key ce_a11y) to apply it on the following pages. It is not sent to the server and does not expire; it is deleted with “Reset” in the same panel, or when you clear the site’s data in your browser.
Cookie-free statistics
To learn which pages are visited we use WP Statistics, which runs on our own server: it sets no cookies, sends no data to third parties and anonymises and hashes the IP address. Details are in the privacy policy.
Content from other sites
The calendars on the Agenda and Opening hours pages are generated by this website on its own server from the Student Recreation Centre’s public Google calendars: your browser does not connect to Google to show them. Bookings (Microsoft Bookings and Monnegre), registration forms, the UPV Electronic Office, Google Calendar (the “Add to Google Calendar” button) and social media are only linked: they open on their own sites, under their own cookie policies.
Only two pieces of content from other sites load inside this website, and only when you press their button: YouTube videos (from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode) and the building’s air-quality panel (from myinbiot.com, which in turn loads fonts and libraries from other providers and the LogRocket session-analytics tool). Before you press, no request is made to those sites; when you press, they may set their own cookies or store data in your browser under their own policies. Both have a link next to them to open them on their own site.
Managing cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies from the privacy section of your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or others). Blocking this site’s technical cookies will only stop your language from being remembered (and, for editors, logging in).
For any question about this policy write to casalum@ddaa.upv.es. You can read the UPV’s general cookie policy; the criteria for cookies exempt from consent are set out in the AEPD guide on the use of cookies .
