Sustainable building

The Student Recreation Centre is part of the Environmental Management System of the Universitat Politècnica de València. On this page you can check the building’s indoor air quality in real time and find the university’s energy consumption data.

Energy consumption

The UPV Environmental Management System collects and processes a large amount of information about the environmental performance of the university. One of its aims is to inform the university community about the real effects of its activities on the environment and to encourage everyday habits that reduce that impact.

The UPV Environmental Unit publishes the university’s energy consumption per campus (València-Vera, Alcoi and Gandia) on its energy portal, together with its energy-saving commitments and good-practice guides. The figures are given per campus, not per building, so the Student Recreation Centre’s consumption is not shown separately.

Air quality

The Student Recreation Centre has installed an air quality monitor to ensure a healthy environment inside the building. The panel below shows the indoor temperature, humidity, CO₂ and PM2.5 particles in real time. It is provided by an external service (myinbiot) and loads when you press the button. We invite everyone to stay informed and help keep the Centre a clean and safe place.
