On 13 June, the team from Marinerob S.L. showcased their catamaran prototype at the Student Recreation Centre. Marinerob is a high-tech company specialised in marine robotics and sustainable nautical technologies.
The project was developed specifically to compete in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, the most important sustainable boat competition in Europe. In this international event, universities and pioneering teams race boats powered exclusively by renewable energy, focusing on energy efficiency, technological innovation, and marine sustainability.
The Marinerob team, composed of an interdisciplinary group from the Universitat Politècnica de València, has created a high-performance catamaran featuring an optimised propulsion system and a design aimed at reducing environmental impact. Their participation not only promotes young talent and innovation in the field of maritime transport, but also highlights the company’s commitment to a cleaner and more technologically advanced future in marine navigation.
