Today, Tuesday 18 December, the presentation of the Santander scholarships for professional work placements in SMEs for university students took place at Casa del Alumno.
The aim of these scholarships is to promote paid professional placements in small and medium-sized enterprises and to help students enter the job market afterwards. This year 173 scholarships are awarded to UPV students, more than double the previous year.
Candidates must be enrolled in any bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or university-specific qualification taught at the UPV. They must also have passed 50% of the credits of their degree, be in the final two years or be working on their final-year project.
The placements last a minimum of three months, which may be extended to six at the request of the host company. In any case, the deadline for completing the placement is 30 September 2013. The placement is full-time and the pay is 600 euros gross per month.
If you are interested, the registration period ends on Thursday 31 January 2013. Once registration closes, the Universitat Politècnica de València will contact the participating companies and the registered students.
