Today, 10 November, the Student Recreation Centre is hosting the Mercadona IT Hackathon, an intensive day in which teams of students from the Universitat Politècnica de València face real technological challenges proposed by Mercadona IT professionals.
The event, organised within the framework of the Mercadona IT – UPV Chair, aims to bring students closer to the reality of working in high-level technological environments, promoting teamwork, creativity and problem solving in real contexts.
During 12 hours of uninterrupted activity, the selected teams work side by side with professionals from the sector in the Sala Ximo Mora of the Student Recreation Centre, competing for various prizes.
The Hackathon is part of the activities promoted by the new Mercadona IT Chair, created in collaboration between Mercadona and the UPV to promote the training of technological talent and the connection between academia and business.
