Call for activity projects

The Call for Activity Projects is the programme through which the Student Recreation Centre (CALUM) funds and supports activities proposed by UPV students themselves. Every year a call opens for artistic, cultural and recreational proposals to be carried out at the Centre.

Its aim is a more participatory programme, closer to the interests of the university community: activities should complement students’ education and integration by strengthening skills, abilities and values. Purely festive projects are excluded; recreational or leisure proposals must fit into a cultural, educational or general-interest context.

Who can apply

  • Students enrolled in official UPV degrees, individually or as a group.
  • School student delegations and the UPV Student Council (CEUPV).
  • You may submit as many projects as you wish.
  • Every project must be coordinated by the student who proposes it, who commits to volunteering in its execution.

Conditions

  • Activities take place at the Student Recreation Centre or its surroundings, on any campus (Vera, Gandia or Alcoi).
  • They must directly benefit the university’s students and participation is always free. A deposit may be requested; it is returned at the end of the activity to those who took part.
  • The Centre provides selected projects with the material, financial and human resources they need: it may fund the whole project or part of it, depending on the budget available.
  • Execution depends on time, conditions and budget; the Centre may propose changes and, if no agreement is reached, withdraw from the project with no compensation for its promoters.
  • If the activity includes prizes, the rules must be processed through the Vice-Rectorate secretariat for publication in the National Grants Database (BDNS) before any contest is announced. Without this prior authorisation the contest is void and no payment can be processed.

Calendar

  • Two periods each year for carrying out projects: February to May and September to December. Projects outside these periods may be authorised exceptionally.
  • Deadline: 31 October of the current year (2026 call).
  • Decision: the Vice-Rector for Students and Entrepreneurship decides within seven days of the application and notifies the applicants.

Applications are assessed by a selection committee made up of the Vice-Rector for Students and Entrepreneurship, the President of the UPV Student Council and the person in charge of the Student Recreation Centre, who acts as secretary.

How to submit your project

  1. Read the rules of the current call (below).
  2. Define the activity: goals, dates, space needed, materials and estimated budget.
  3. Fill in the online application form (opens in a new tab) (UPV intranet).
  4. You will receive the decision by e-mail. If the project is accepted, arrange room booking and equipment loan with the Information Desk.
