For the UPV to recognise it, and for it to use the rooms and services of the Student Recreation Centre, the association must be legally constituted and then entered in the UPV Register of Associations. This page summarises the steps and links to the official resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements for the UPV Register<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/entidades\/SG\/infoweb\/sg\/info\/U0735484.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Regulations of the UPV Register of Associations (PDF, Spanish and Valencian)<svg class=\"icon icon-external ce-new-tab-icon\" aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" fill=\"none\" stroke=\"currentColor\" stroke-width=\"2\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><path d=\"M14 4h6v6M20 4l-9 9M18 14v5a1 1 0 0 1-1 1H5a1 1 0 0 1-1-1V7a1 1 0 0 1 1-1h5\"\/><\/svg><span class=\"screen-reader-text\"> (opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/a>, the association must be constituted under Organic Law 1\/2002 or Valencian Law 14\/2008, be entered in the corresponding public register, and also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have at least 10 members.<\/li>\n\n<li>At least three quarters of its members and two thirds of its board must belong to the university community.<\/li>\n\n<li>Operate freely, autonomously and with genuine participation of its members, and be non-profit.<\/li>\n\n<li>Have aims and activities compatible with the values, principles and purposes of the UPV.<\/li>\n\n<li>Not have its registered office inside the university.<\/li>\n\n<li>Have a name that cannot be confused with other registered associations or with university bodies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to create the association<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check that the name is available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sede.interior.gob.es\/portal\/sede\/tramites?codAgrupacion=ASOCIACIONES\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">association names file<svg class=\"icon icon-external ce-new-tab-icon\" aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" fill=\"none\" stroke=\"currentColor\" stroke-width=\"2\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><path d=\"M14 4h6v6M20 4l-9 9M18 14v5a1 1 0 0 1-1 1H5a1 1 0 0 1-1-1V7a1 1 0 0 1 1-1h5\"\/><\/svg><span class=\"screen-reader-text\"> (opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/a> of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior.<\/li>\n\n<li>Draw up the founding minutes and the statutes (aims, activities, internal rules and scope). href=\"https:\/\/sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es\/Sede\/en_gb\/censos-nif-domicilio-fiscal\/solicitar-nif.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">association&#8217;s tax ID (NIF)<svg
